1. The Charleville Cosmos Centre & Observatory
A ‘must see’ that will leave you amazed.  Look through powerful telescopes and discover the beauty of the Outback night sky.  During the day, hold a meteorite in your hand, find out how much you weigh on other planets and enjoy a bite to eat in the Cosmos Café.

2. The Bilby Experience
The Bilby Experience is a highlight for many visitors to Charleville.  Bred in captivity to ensure the survival of the species, this is your opportunity to learn about their survival, habits and habitat.  Enjoy a visual presentation and discussion before viewing a live Bilby in a natural setting.

3. Royal Flying Doctor Service Visitor Centre
You will learn about the valuable service delivered to the people of the outback by “The Doctor”.  The long history of this medical service to remote outback communities is explained in an introductory film and photographic display.

4. Hotel Corones
Enjoy stories and scones at Hotel Corones.  Listen to tales of famous guests, the frivolity of the 1930s and 40s and the story of the first Greek migrant to hold a hotel license in Australia.  The licensee Harry Corones, rose from rags to riches and provided Qantas with their first catering service.

5. Historic House Museum   
Built in 1888, Historic House Museum is a wonderful example of early Queensland Architecture, with many of the interior features remaining.  The museum is full of treasures of everyday outback life from the days when life was tough and Outback ingenuity was born.

6. School of Distance Education
Tour the school and see first hand how students, who live hundreds of kilometers from their classroom receive education.

7. Graham Andrews Parkland
Relaxing in the parklands pleasant surrounds, feed the ducks and admire the variety of bird life that call the park home.  BBQ facilities are available.

8. Outback Native Timber Walk
Also located within Graham Andrews Parklands is the Outback Native Timber Walk.  This relaxing walk will identify 18 different species of Native Outback Australian Trees.  Learn the common and botanical names and the European and Aboriginal uses for each tree.

9. Vortex Rainmaking Guns
Used to break the drought of the 1900s, these guns blasted gunpowder into the sky in an attempt to make rain.  The experiment failed, two of the guns are on display in Graham Andrews Parklands.

10. Charleville Scenic Flight
