MURWEH SHIRE

The Murweh Shire over sees the towns of Charleville, Morven, Augathella & Cooladdi.  Their mission is “To provide effective services and infrastructure to meet the needs of the Murweh community and encourage development, working with the Community to achieve a better future”.

The local Mayor Mark O’Brien is an active member of the community, and a part of Ned and the Kellys, a well known outback band.  He is assisted by other councilors Cr Dennis Cook, Cr Cec Russell, Cr Roy Bignall  and Cr Andrew McInnerney.
